༺ Where do I get my ticket? ༻
You can buy tickets in advance from the Village Store in Loughgall and from Mervyn Walker (50 Main Street) at £7 each from Monday 21 st April until Friday 6 th June. On the days of opening, 7 th June and 8 th June, they will cost£10 each and be sold at three points: St Luke’s Church Hall, 50 Main Street, and 45 Old Road.
༺ Where do I park my car/coach? ༻
The preferred places to park will be sign-posted and are at St Luke’s Church Hall (free), in Loughgall Country Park
(£1.70 concession on showing purchased ticket, buses £5.90), at RBP HQ in the village (free disabled
parking only) or free at 45 Old Road. It may be possible to park on the verge along Old Road between gardens A-
C. So far as possible, please avoid parking on the Main Street as this may create congestion.
*A hop on-hop off bus service will be available both days and sign-posted. Please refer to the map on your ticket for
bus stop locations.
༺ How do I find the gardens? ༻
Tickets take the form of a 4-page A5 booklet. The front page details information about the day, with a list of
gardens and a map of their locations on the two inside pages. Children under the age of 16 are free but must be
accompanied by an adult. The entrance to each garden will be identified by a red wellie boot. Gardens are due to
open on both days. They are private gardens, so it is always possible that one or two may have to change their
plans at the last minute, after the tickets have been printed.
༺ What do I do there? ༻
Look around, enjoy the enormous variety of gardens on offer, and take home some inspiration for your own
garden! The gardens vary from tiny secluded plots to 2 acre gardens of varied ornamental, woodland, wildlife and
kitchen garden. Some have interesting stone features. If you have stout footwear, that may help you to appreciate
some of them better – especially if it is wet underfoot. Please respect property and the privacy of the owners’
dwelling. You are asked not to bring dogs with you (apart, of course, from guide dogs). While we will try to point out
any obvious risks, you are reminded that all gardens do have hazards of some kind. You enter the gardens at your
own risk and must supervise any children in your party.
༺ Can I get a cup of tea? ༻
A BBQ will be organised in St Luke’s Rectory Garden from1.00-5.00 on Saturday and 2.00-5.00 on Sunday. Also, a
variety of drinks and refreshments will be available on Saturday and Sunday at the Secret Gardens at 38 Old
Road, 5 Old Road and 50 Main Street and in Loughgall Women’s Institute Hall in the centre of the village.
Refreshments will also be available at Sloan’s café (Saturday only)
༺ Is there anything to interest non-gardeners? ༻
On your garden journey, you will find various stalls, historic sites and buildings, displays and other attractions. There is more information on the back of your ticket. Please refer to LADIA.org for other points of interest around Loughgall.
༺ What if I need the toilet? ༻
Toilets are available at four places marked on the map on your ticket. (WC).
༺ Which charities will benefit from this event? ༻
Proceeds of ticket sales will be divided between Alzheimer’s Society NI, St Luke’s Church, and Loughgall and District Improvement Association. Stallholders decide what to do with their takings.
The Loughgall and District Improvement Association would like to thank all our gardeners for their hard work and willingness to welcome others, our visitors for coming, our caterers for sustaining us, and the stallholders and everyone else who has used their talents to help.
